The Department of Oral, Orthodontic and Facial/Plastic Surgery at St. Josefshospital Uerdingen has 45 beds with additional patient beds on the Interdisciplinary Intensive Care Ward. The entire spectrum of oral, orthodontic and facial surgery (including plastic reconstructive and aesthetic facial surgery) is offered by the department. There is a comprehensive outpatient facility with wide-ranging statutory health insurance (kassenärztliche) authorisation for referred patients and emergency admissions. In addition, the department offers specialist consultations for malformations, dysgnathia surgery, implantology and pre-prosthetics, tumour treatment and plastic reconstructive/aesthetic facial surgery.
